Bug Description

In installer of Oneiric beta 2, Bosnian version, the buttons "Back", "Quit" are still in English, and it is not possible to edit it in Launchpad. They can be translated in /var/lib/dpkg/info/ubiquity.templates.

We import these strings periodically from GTK+ into ubiquity. Apparently nobody has translated them in GTK+ yet, or at least not in such a way that they made it into the gtk+3.0 package. If you get those translations sent to GTK+ upstream, that's the quickest way to fix this.

These strings have been in GTK upstream for years. It seems there must be something wrong with the way they are being imported.

The following are links to the current translations in GTK git master.

The only thing I can spot different from other translations is this string: #, fuzzy

Would this stop translations from being imported?

Ok, from what I can work out the fuzzy tag means the translation needs to be reviewed.

Samir are you able to confirm if these translations are correct? If they are wrong can you please create an upstream bug and copy the link back here so we can track it. If they are right can you please create a bug and ask that the #, fuzzy tag be removed.

You can create an upstream GTK bug using this link: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=gtk%2B

Fuzzy strings will be imported afaik, but they will not be used at
runtime. This is the same behaviour whether the strings are in upstream
or in Launchpad.

They simply need to be reviewed and translated, and then they will be
used and the user will see the translated version instead of the
original English one as now.

Cheers,
David.
