Bug Description

Fresh natty updated, then do upgrade to oneiric, immediately triggered this.

Basically was expecting boot to happen without crash.

Kate had 2 issues there:
- the gnome-settings-daemon segfaults which is a known issue and is being tracked
- compiz with refused to switch between the open applications until restarted in the same session which got the issue

Since the g-s-d issue has a bug, recycling this one for the compiz issue
