Bug Description

So, this might have to do with some previous tinkering I've done with my system; during the Natty cycle I have, among other things, had Gnome3 installed from the Gnome-team PPA, and also once followed a now-forgotten instruction to disable the NVidia graphics card and sololy run on the Intel card (Dual graphics card setup is the only really annoying shortcoming in Ubuntu compared to Win 7).
Anyway, in the login menu I have different options, including "Ubuntu", "Ubuntu 2D" and "Ubuntu Netbook Edition".

OK I got some advise on the #Ubuntu+1 IRC channel. It seemed the new new proprietary NVidia driver (that was still installed though not running) had messed up the Intel driver somehow. Completely removing it helped.

Yeah, nvidia includes its own GLX library which can override all other driver's GLX. Broken GLX == no 3D == no unity.

I presume everything's working properly now? I'll go ahead and close out the bug report.
