It is very difficult (many times almost impossible) to select planets and moons when they are zoomed in. Only a very little point in the center of these objects recognizes the click to select them. In this case, it looks like the “selection spot” don't increase proportionally to their greatness.
You can try it by yourself: zoom in Jupiter, for example, till it fills the screen, then try to select it. The more a planet or moon is zoomed in, the more difficult the selection becomes. Sometimes you have to try several times until it works.
This don't seems to occur with stars, since it looks like their “selection spot” increases proportionally to their greatness.

I fixed this bug by using the angular size of a planet instead of the search radius if the angular size is bigger, see the attached patch.
