Bug Description

The builds available even for current Ubuntu releases are far behind, and even simple things like adding a new USB id to an existing device class are not being applied to the older versions.
Would it be possible to ship more recent versions to current Ubuntu's, or at least back port the simpler things like failing to detect some HP Touchpad's (my pet peeve is having to drag and drop converted PDFs by hand).
