Bug Description
Binary package hint: synaptic
1. While update-manager is installing an update, try to open Synaptic.
What happens: "Another synaptic is running in non-interactive mode. Please close it first."
What's wrong:
* The word "synaptic" is an adjective, not a noun, so you can't have "another synaptic". Probably this is supposed to be "another copy of Synaptic".
* But no, there isn't another copy of Synaptic running anyway, just update-manager. I suggest referring to "Update Manager" by name.
* "Non-interactive mode" is neither understandable nor explained. (I'd have a suggestion here too, but I don't know what non-interactive mode is either.)

Yes, I agree, this can be confusing for some users. Could anyone modify the text of the error message?
