Bug Description
In standard Unity mode (Ubuntu 11.10 beta), the logout menu in the top right corner has an entry to start update-manager. This is missing in GNOME fallback mode.

I don't believe we particularly want to patch the GNOME me menu. However, this will be fixed when bug 724369 is fixed which is the porting of Ubuntu's indicator status menus to the new gnome-panel.
I'm going to go ahead and mark this as a duplicate of that bug.
