Bug Description

I'm using stratagus/wargus v2.2.5.5 on Ubuntu 11.04 (natty) from the launchpad repository.

When installing wargus:
Preconfiguring packages ...
/tmp/wargus.config.141081: 11: /usr/games/wartool: not found

I don't know if that's relevant.
Anyway, it then goes on to extract the CD, but fails after extracting audio track 17 with:

Input #0, wav, from '/usr/share/games/stratagus/wargus/music/track_17.wav':
(...)
Track #18 does not exist.
dpkg: error processing wargus (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing: wargus
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Trying to run Wargus anyway tells me that Wargus data was not extracted yet...

Looks like I have the UK DOS version of the Warcraft 2 disc, and there are only 17 tracks on it (16 audio tracks). What am I doing wrong?

There has been a different bug report (642869) in regards to extracting music for the UK/Australian version.

Track 18 is only on the expansion CD, does the extractor detect it as being a UK/Australian original DOS CD?

Hi Kyran! Thanks for the reply!

No, it doesn't say anything about detecting the CD.

When installing the package:

Setting up wargus (2.2.5.5-1ubuntu1~natty) ...

Then a windows opens asking to extract Warcraft II data now. I choose Yes. Then:

Extracting data from /media/cdrom to /usr/share/games/stratagus/wargus
cdparanoia III release 10.2 (September 11, 2008)

It then rips the audio tracks, finally ending with:

[wav @ 0x82e9c50]max_analyze_duration reached
[wav @ 0x82e9c50]Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate
Input #0, wav, from '/usr/share/games/stratagus/wargus/music/track_17.wav':
  Duration: 00:00:43.56, bitrate: 1411 kb/s
    Stream #0.0: Audio: pcm_s16le, 44100 Hz, 2 channels, s16, 1411 kb/s
0:00:16.98 audio: 69kbps video: 0kbps, time remaining: 00:00:01 Track #18 does not exist.
0:00:22.01 audio: 69kbps video: 0kbps, time remaining: 00:00:00 dpkg: error processing wargus (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
      0:00:43.56 audio: 65kbps video: 0kbps, time elapsed: 00:00:02
Errors were encountered while processing:
 wargus
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

On the CD it says Warcraft II - Tides of Darkness - MS-DOS CD-ROM. There's no data on the CD indicating what region the game is from, but comparing the jewel case inlay with Mobygames it appears to be the UK one (it says Printed in Ireland on the bottom).

Confirmed, Tides of Darkness has last track with number 17. Expansion CD has 18.

But now ripping audio tracks was moved from build.sh to wartool.c and fix should be easy (if not exp cd - rip only 17.)
