Bug Description
When I restart or turn on the computer the brightness is set to 100 on the boot splash but when in the login screen it is set to the minimum. When logged in it is still minimum. When I change the brightness in the screen settings it will change the brightness but it will go back to minimum when the computer is shutdown or restarted. I will need to change the brightness in the Screen setting every time I restart my computer.
I use a HP G72 Notebook laptop
Ubuntu 11.10
64BIT

This describes precisely what happens to my laptop screen. Although it does not happen with my external display (over HDMI).
I have a System76 Pangolin Performance (panp7). Running the open "radeon" driver with a ATI HD4570 (iirc).
