Laptop will not Supsend.

Release: 11.10

When I close the lid on battery power or select suspend from the menu the laptop does not suspend, instead I am presented with black screen with a flashing cursor. Ctrl+Alt+F7 will bring me back to the login screen however networking will not work from this point on. Suspend used to work on 11.04 but stopped since updating to Oneiric 11.10.

Further investigation shows that I am able to suspend at the login screen but not once logged in.

craigsblackie, thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Oneiric reached EOL on May 9, 2013.
