Bug Description

I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 (and Windows 7 Ultimate) for 32 bits mode with Gecko media player (1.0.0-0ubuntu2) and Firefox 6.0.2. This player delays to much to load streams under Microsoft standards. In Windows 7 this is not a problem, because the load of sound is relatively fast. In other hand, when I used Ubuntu 10.04 this site http://www.telaradar.com.br/live/radar.htm showed radar map and plays sound live. At this moment, Gecko can play sound only, graphics are absent. In Windows XP and 7, graphics and sound are loaded with no problems. What happens?.

Thanks in advance.

Is this site still operational? At the moment it only seems to server a jpeg file and that's all.

You're right. Telaradar is not operational. There are two brazilian websites to test gecko-mediaplayer; radars from airport of Congonhas (http://www.maquinasvoadoras.com.br/sbsp-x1.php) and airport of Guarulhos (http://www.maquinasvoadoras.com.br/sbgr-x1.php). Both of these webs are fully operational in Windows XP & 7.But in Ubuntu (and possibility another distros of GNU/Linux) first website appears to unable to load in my PC. Second website can be load but it occurs after some tries.

What happened in those webs?

Sincerely.

Ramón.

Looking at the asx of the second link that gives a 8 second video with static text, a site that doesn't stream anything (that's an asf that references itself) and a link to a JPG that 404s. So maybe it would be best to get in contact with the site's operator.

Let's close this now. It's not a problem in gecko-mediaplayer as far as I can tell.
