Bug Description

LibreOffice uses Gtk+ for styling but the overlay scrollbars need a custom implementation.
Right now, they are blacklisted to ensure the proper GtkScrollbar style.

There were promises to include this in 12.04! But nothing has changed so far... Will it eventually land in 12.04 final?

I just came across the same problem. I am running elementaryOS where I missed overlay scrollbars. I installed them and now they appear in all applications except Libre Office. Is someone currently working on enabling support for LO?

Thankfully,

Robert

Nobody ever worked on that, as you can see from this bug’s activity. Overlay scrollbar development is abandoned these days, as there is a new implementation in upstream GTK+ (since 3.14), but without our floating handle.

This is great news! Where can I read more about the exact details of the implementation?
