Bug Description
When a new tab in a gnome-terminal window is opened, the vertical scroll bars in both the tabs disappear. Also there is a transparent region in the bottom of the window that is created, that hides the current prompt and cursor. Not always reproducible, but happens randomly which could mean issues with the desktop environment/ unity/gtk rather than gnome-terminal.
