Bug Description

I'm testing ubuntu oneiric, and cloudsn doesn't seem to work on that version.
I thought I might as well report this bug even though oneiric is still in beta stage.

The app launches fine, and I can add new feeds, but they aren't checked and so I don't get any notification.
The console doesn't display any error.
First, I've tried the latest version from the ppa, then I've compiled cloudsn from git.
The 'python-feedparser' dependancy was installed from the repo in both cases.

As I find this app incredibly usefull, I really hope this issue will be solved by the time oneiric is out.

A small update on this bug.
Since recent oneiric updates, from time to time unity fails to load properly on my laptop (graphic driver issue I guess).
When that happens, after I log in, my desktop is blank : no dock on the left nor panel on the top, just my desktop background and the nautilus menu on top.
And strangely, in that case, cloudsn is working, I do receive notifications.

So I guess, something in unity (or loading alongside unity) must be conflicting with cloudsn, but I have no idea what exactly.
And last, cloudsn appears twice in the MeMenu (one entry with my feeds displayed under, the other without).

Hope this helps.

There is a problem with NetworkManager 0.9. It's fixed in git but I haven't got internet in my home and I cannot upload the package :(

I think I'll get internet again in a week.

Thanks for the update, the problem is half-solved for me.
I installed the latest git version, and I do have notifications now.
However, I can't see them in the 'me-menu' (or whatever they call itnow).
I do have the "Cloud Services Notifications" entry, but I can't see any of the feeds.

Is there a way I can completely uninstall cloudsn (installed from git), so I can try a clean installation ?

CloudSN 0.8.12

I see the CloudSN notifications but the me/communication menu does not show the corresponding items. Comment #3 by tcharlss reports a similar issue; in my case, even the "Cloud Services Notifications" item is missing from the menu.

Following up on my previous comment (#4)...

- Switching from 'Status icon' to 'Indicator applet' resulted in the "Cloud Services Notifications" item appearing in the me/communication menu as expected.

- The accounts I've set up also appear in the menu w/ the counts.

- Email checking seems to succeed more often now.

I can confirm, it seems to work fine now.
Silly me, I had forgotten to switch back from 'status icon' to 'indicator applet'.

In a next version, I'll force the indicator applet if you have ubuntu installed
