Bug Description

When I press Super button, dash will show only after 3-5 seconds.
If I press alt+tab, list of windows shows afret 5 seconds or more.
Pages in browser scrolls very slow. When I click on link, browser freezes on 10 seconds (sometimes more, sometimes less). It's in all browsers (FF, Chrome, Opera).
When I run gwibber (or some another program) I must wait more than 10 seconds while it loading.

I've upgraded from 10.10 to 11.10 and too find it sometimes extremely slow and unresponsive. Sometimes it kinda freezes although the hard-disk light flashes.This normally happens if I switch apps or open a new app etc. It's almost so bad I'm considering going back to 10.04.

My Laptop (Fujitsu LifeBook S7020) has the configuration:

    * Intel Pentium M Processor 725 1.6GHz
    * 1 gig memory
    * Intel Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller

I'm already using Unity-2D

I think it is too much Python in Unity. Qt gives same speed of development but very fast.

Please add these two PPAs of Unity and Compiz respectively https://launchpad.net/~vanvugt/+archive/unity and https://launchpad.net/~vanvugt/+archive/compiz fully update your system through update-manager then reboot and let us know if that makes a difference for you.

HI Omer,

I have the latest updates installed via update manager but not via the PPA's you mentioned. Can you elaborate more on the PPA's you suggest we should install from?

Thanks.

Since Ubuntu14.04 graphics is very slow on

1. a VMware installation
2. on RS780 AMD graphics

On Ubuntu12.04 there was no problem, including watching movies with RS780 graphics. With Ubuntu14.04 it is impossible (too slow).
