Bug Description

Binary package hint: bluez-btsco

From the official bluetooth alsa web site:
"Project reorganization
The plugz package was created to try to separate older code from new efforts. New development will happen in the plugz package.

The btsco package will no longer be maintained. The continued presence of old audio plugins and the (messier) combined fixed-point/floating-point code in the btsco project has been a source for some confusion and these should be removed at some point. "

Do u think we need to package plugz in festy instead of btsco?

This is and isn't a bug: Sure, the package is going away, but there is active work on re-organizing Bluetooth in Ubuntu (and the package isn't gone yet, so this is more of a request than a bug report).

Given that, I'm marking this as rejected, and suggesting that you work with the Bluetooth team to make a better Ubuntu Bluetooth.

Please refer to <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bluetooth>, <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bluetooth/TODO>, <https://launchpad.net/~bluetooth>, and <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BetterBluetoothSupport> for more information.

According to http://wiki.bluez.org/wiki/HOWTO/AudioDevices, both plugz and btsco are obsolete with bluez-utils 3.16 or better. Since Ubuntu Intrepid now packages 3.36, this bug report is also obsolete.

According to the information available for this package and baltix, it is not published in baltix (https://bugs.launchpad.net/baltix/+source/bluez-btsco). The baltix part of this report is also therefore obsolete.
