Bug Description
Dragging an application from the dash should drag the actual .desktop file. I don't know if that is the case right now but it doesn't play nice when dropping somewhere other than the launcher like the desktop or file browser.
I think it should just act as drag-n-drop of normal files (.desktop file in this case). Dropping icons on desktop should create app launchers for that app.
In case it's a design decision that applications can't be placed on the desktop, let's at least suppress the error when dropping an app from dash to desktop.
