I couldn't help to notice the incredible amount of dependencies you modified, are those intentional?

I do not know if it's information but I did an upgrade from Ubuntu 11.04, not a clean installation, where the wawtv was already .installed.

to turn off the sound I do the following, tvtime has never worked here, but when I start it, it automatically closes but the noise off the board too:)

this bug is not important because I think few people use xawtv, this problem should only be happening to me, and has also managed to "switch" the problem using other software to close the noise

ps> you are Brazilian?

The upgrade was mentioned by apport, just find it odd but I always do fresh installs... and I'm Portuguese.

I'm not sure how to debug this, as it might be xawtv fault or a alsa bug.
Can you attach an strace log[1] as it should help who has the expertise to triage this kind of bug, if its xawtv fault. Note that if you have to Ctrl-C to stop strace after closing xawtv please mention it (that means the program is still running).

xawev is quite outdated in Ubuntu, also it was left out to to have upstream bugs uncorporated for quite a while. So I placed an update request 910503, which may help to close some bugs on this software.

I'll be happy if you could consider to this support this bug by clicking "I'm affected too"

Well .... I'm currently using kubuntu 11.10.
He had discovered a program to supply the xawtv program is zapping.
It worked perfectly.
However I have recently upgraded to kernel 3.2 and found that zapping also for working with this update.

I think what affected the xawtv program was updating the kernel used in Ubuntu 11.10

NOTE: This update of the kernel will be used in the next version of ubuntu

ps. where I click "I'm affected too"

apologies my poor English. I am using a translator

Thanks Rodrigo Hernandez
