Bug Description

I installed 'gm-notify' on my Linux Mint 11 system and discovered that the mail indicator icon did not appear in the indicator applet area. I would get mail notification pop-ups, but not an icon. After looking at packages that looked relevant to the indicator-applet, I tried installing 'indicator-messages'. Once I did that (and logged out and back in), the mail icon now displayed in the indicator applet panel, correctly displaying new mail, number in Inbox, etc.. Based on this experience, you may want to include the 'indicator-messages' package as a dependency for 'gm-notify' to prevent confusion for those using this package on systems other than Ubuntu.
