Bug Description

The short and long of it seems evident in this error message I get:

Files /usr/lib/ocaml/3.09.2/netstring/netstring.cmxa
and /usr/lib/ocaml/3.09.2/pcre/pcre.cmxa
make inconsistent assumptions over interface Pcre

(The package might actually be ocamlnet-dev, BTW)

I have the same problem. Recompiling and reinstalling the packages fixed the issue.

I recompiled libhttp-ocaml-dev (which I believe was not useful at all), libocamlnet-ocaml-dev and libnetclient-ocaml-dev. I believe the last package finally resolved the issue.

I also installed libdbi-ocaml-dev, which depends on pcre, and managed to load its postgresql module without problems (which depends on pcre) so I believe this is the right way to fix.

i has this problem too.

Edgy + libsha-ocaml_1.3-1_i386.deb and libsha-ocaml-dev_1.3-1_i386.deb from Feisty - to build approx 2.8.0

will try to recompile as Flux wrote....

Most probably this was due to a library transition. Can you confirm that there is no problem in gutsy/hardy?

Changed in ocamlnet:
status: New → Incomplete
