Bug Description
unity 4.10.2-0ubuntu2, Ubuntu Ocelot
1. Have the launcher hidden (e.g. by maximizing a window, or having a window near the left edge of the screen).
2. Press the Super key.
What happens:
* The Dash fades in.
* At the same time, the launcher slides in from the edge.
What should happen: When two or more elements appear because of a single action, any animations should be the same.
Ways in which this bug could be fixed:
* Not have a launcher, or not have a Dash.
* Have the launcher and Dash fade in together.
* Have the launcher and Dash slide in together.
* Have no animation when either element appears.

i'm totally agree with you, and i suggest a solution: a new compiz zoom efect, i found in other bug report, look:
https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/elementary os/+bug/ 793983/ +attachment/ 2158960/ +files/ compiz. mkv
This video shows a zoom efect on contextual menu, if its posible , it will be consistent with dash and launcher.
PD: You can find more information about these feature in that link: /bugs.launchpad .net/elementary os/+bug/ 793983
