Bug Description

flashplugin-installer on 64 bit systems depend on nspluginwrapper, which further depends on nspluginviewer, which only exists in the 32 bit repositories.

A solution to this issue is to install from the tar.gz file on adobe's site and sym-link to the /opt/google/chrome/plugins directory, /usr/lib/chromium-browser/plugins directory, and ~/.mozilla/plugins directory, for google chrome, chromium-browser, and mozilla firefox respectively. Native 64 bit libraries were used, along with the flash-11 development version.

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. This has already been fixed per bug #830802. Please see the last comment for more information on enabling i386 repos within an amd64 system. Also, it's not suggested to install from the .tar.gz from Adobe since you will not get updates. Please report any other issues you may find.
