Look at screenshot - there are krakozabros instead of normal russian letters

Alex, thanks for reporting this bug.

Can you please check if you are running Unity or Unity-2d: try running "ps -fe | grep unity" and paste the result here.
Also, what version of unity are you running (dpkg -l "unity-2d-places")?
