Bug Description

I have a completely hosed oneiric setup with btrfs-root (kernel BUG, will report upstream, and I know, my own damn fault;) which I would like to try to fix with fsck.btrfs.

Unfortunately alternative CD lacks this tool, but contains fsck.<fs> for all the rest of filesystems supported by alternate installation.

I do not believe there is an fsck tool available for BTRFS at the moment, according to: https://btrfs.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/FAQ#When_will_Btrfs_have_a_fsck_like_tool.3F

That is actually true; the btrfsck does absolutely no fixing.

However there is btrfs-zero-log which is part of the btrfs-tools _source package_. I got my partition mountable again with it. I suggest it to be added to the btrfs-tools package binary package. Just a one liner to tell make to build it.

summary: - Alternate CD lacks fsck.btrfs
+ btrfs-tools lacks btrfs-zero-log

marking as a dupe, because updating to the current version would bring in the new tools.
