Bug Description

On bottom-right of the following screenshot from Jono's blog:

we have the combination of:

  Chiconyelectronicsco._ltd.Webcam Ctrl+Alt+L

these are actually on separate lines (separate menus items) and should be able to overlap.

thank you for your bug report, what version do you use? the hardware name was dropped in yesterday update, is that not working for you or is your version not the current one?

the webcam name issue is indeed fixed, design team also approved mod4+l to lock screen[1] if thats fixed the menu width wont look weird but the actual issue is here how GTK+ treats menus, MPT have a detailed analysis[2] on the issue.

For now the name of the brand will be used in the menu if it is less than 8 characters in length and contains just letters.
If either of those clauses are not satisfied it will revert to just 'Webcam' or 'Scanner'.
