Bug Description

Hello,

I'm not sure if the Fix from https://bugs.launchpad.net/openobject-addons/+bug/772451 solves the Problem, at least for me it doesn't.

Could someone please confirm this:

Example:
- A Journal with Default Credit Account = 4000, Default Debit Account = 4000

Then add a new Journal Item using the above Journal

In v6.0.2:
GTK Client = OK:
Add an Account (2700), a Name and the Credit with 10.0, press ENTER -> A Counterpart Entry with Account 4000 and Debit 10.0 is created.

WEB Client = wrong:
Add an Account (2700), a Name and the Credit with 10.0, press ENTER or the SAVE Icon -> Counterpart Entry is not created

In v6.0.3:
GTK Client = OK:
Add an Account (2700), a Name and the Credit with 10.0, press ENTER -> A Counterpart Entry with Account 4000 and Debit 10.0 is created.

WEB Client = wrong:
Add an Account (2700), a Name and the Credit with 10.0, press ENTER or the SAVE Icon -> Counterpart Entry is not created

If I instead create a Journal Entry, a Counterpart Entry is created, but:
Manually created Journal Item: name: test, account = 2700, credit = 10.0
Counterpart Journal Item: name: test, account = 2700, debit = 10.0
The Account of the Counterpart Journal Item should be 4000 and not 2700!

with kind regards,
Sven

This Screen show a new Journal Entry. The Account of the second Line, which is created after hitting Enter or saving the first Line, is 2700 - but should be 4000 as set in the Journal.

Ok, I managed to reproduce the bug and I corrected a related to the contexts. Now you should be able to create journal items from the journal entries with the same behavior than in the gtk client. Direct creation of a journal item from the "Journal Items" list is more complicated and would require to implement more functionalities .

Anyway, could you confirm it now works correctly from the journal entries?

Hello,

I know everyone is busy with 6.1, but has the Problem with the Journal Entries and Journal Items now been fixed in 6.0 trunk?
What about creating Journal Items from "Journal Items" - it works in GTK. Will it be fixed for 6.0?

Thanks!

You'll have to go through OPW for that, I think.

As for 6.1, could you try it out? We pushed a fix for journal items.

Hello,

now with Version 6.1 we face the same Problem again.
It is almost as in the first Post.

When creating Journal Items In GTK Client, the counterpart line is automatically created.

That is not the case in the Web Client, neither from the Journal Items or from within the Journal Entries, a counterpart line is created. So currently creating Journal Entries/Items with counterpart lines according to the selected Journal is not possible from within the Web Client.

with kind regards,
Sven
