Bug Description

After using Google Earth and HEC HMS (A Java Desktop Application), I discovered some events or interaction may block unity bar, until the program is closed. For example, suppose you create two folders in google earth and two paths or polygons inside each folder, if you drag and drop one path or polygon from one folder to the other the unity bar will lose its capacity to be hidden automatically (this happens regularly, not always). When using HEC HMS it is common to lose the menu and buttons to close or minimize or maximize.

thanks for the bug report. I believe you are using Ubuntu 11.04 can you please enable proposed repository and update unity from there and let us know if the issue happens afterwards. see this comment https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/769703/comments/49 on how to do that

Hello! My friend, I have a nvidia graphics card, I fear to have troubles with the driver... My 4 GB aren't recognized... Do you suggest I enable the repository and update anyways?

Yes I think there should be no problem and for the 4gb ram issue you
might not have 64-bit Ubuntu. 32-bit of an OS only support 3gb ram.

Hello Omer, I have finally added "proposed natty" repository and I have also updated the system, I can tell by my few interactions with this ubuntu updates that unity seems to be running faster. I will tell you soon what has happened with third party software and unity bar coordination.
I had been using Ubuntu with 4 GB of ram since 9.10 in 32 bits version. The thing is that, when I upgraded to 11.04 in two machines (laptop and desktop) each onte with different nvidia cards, I started having trouble with video, sometimes the pc would hang. As I really liked Unity, I had to fresh install ubuntu 11.04 in both computers, after that I haven't had problems anymore, but in the passing month I discovered I wasn't able to use the 4 GB I have. Somebody told me that there were problems between the kernel that allowed 4 GB in 32 bits systems and nvidia proprietary graphics drivers. Yes I know nvidia sucks.... Well never mind, I really love ubuntu and unity so I will wait for nvidia guys to do something about that... For the next time, what graphic cards are optimal for ubuntu and unity world. Thank you.
