Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Thanks in advance.

Marking as Confirmed since it had been assigned to Wishlist and it's over a year old.

Chnaging to Low, as this is a usability issue. Any application should anticipate disk space needs and provide advice on this. However the OS should prevent this from happening.
