new kernel no glx no X

Bug Description
I had installed kernel 2.6.10-5 and then decided to install 2.6.11 aswell
I had installed kernel 2.6.10-5 and then decided to install 2.6.11 aswell. On reboot selecting 2.6,11 from grub, X wouldn't start because
I had installed glx for the other kernel, perhaps this is a common-sence thing not to do?
