Even when my Samsung Galaxy S2 is showing 3-4 bas, NM's icon is always showing 1.

I'd love to test but it's even more broken now - I connect the phone to the computer, but "new mobile broadband connection" does not show up anymore - so it seems I can't use this feature anymore.

I certainly don't agree with your invalidation of the report, because that does not mean the problem isn't there anymore.

It seems that the Android 4.0 update to the phone removed mobile broadband functionality - USB tethering works now easier (connect phone to computer, enable "USB tethering" in phone's setting, and voila, Ubuntu makes the internet work) - so I can't test this anymore on my phone.

Hi, I didn't set the status to Invalid but to Incomplete, meaning that more information is needed.
