gnome-screensaver crashed with SIGABRT in __kernel_vsyscall()

This occurred when running off a Natty Live CD some time after having pressed the Try Ubuntu button. On this occasion I hadn't started to perform any tasks on this Live platform. Using an Acer Aspire netbook 522.
