I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Hi amit. Can you please attach /var/log/mysql/* to the bug so we can see what errors mysql is giving?

Also the output of

grep mysql /var/log/syslog

Would be helpful.
