Bug Description

LTSP users much prefer the standard (no effects) desktop, but it appears that Unity is enforced as the default desktop for LTSP users unless users explicitly change their session to (no effects) at every login. What is the correct form of 'LDM_SESSION=' in lts.conf to enforce the (no effects) standard session for all users?

Fixed in LTSP 5.3. The correct line is:
LDM_SESSION="gnome-session --session=ubuntu-2d"

Changed in ltsp (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Low
status: New → Fix Released
