Bug Description
I am unable to get ubuntu to install on this Dell Precision 330.
I was having an error initially that complained about the sound module snd-emuxxx.
So I removed the card. Now I get this error
Device 'i823650' does not have a release () funtion, it is broken and must be fixed.
The only thing I find on the web all points back to this kernel. 2.6.8-1
Thanks

I found a way around this issue. Just before the system reboots jump over to
terminal 2 and switch to the target directory /target/etc/init.d/ and rm -rf pcmcia
Now I can get past this issue.
But obviously there is an issue with the PCMCIA module with this machine.
