The product is not usable because of the graphical problems. menus ,text boxes and keys in the firefox interface change place and become white strips after a mouse over....

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Did you have Firefox 5 installed before? Was that working with the same video drivers?

yes firefox 5 was working ok. same video drivers.

Could you please tell us what version of the ATI driver you are using (dpkg -l | grep fglrx) as well as the output from lshw -C video?
