unity menus sometimes don't appear when i mouse over the top bar

using unity2d in oneiric:

sometimes when i move my mouse over the top bar, I don't see any menus: it just stays stuck on showing the focussed application name.

moving the mouse out of the top bar and back will usually bring them back. i can't characterize when this occurs, but it's fairly frequent. i didn't notice this happening before about a week ago.

Thanks for reporting this. It may be a duplicate of bug 825262.
Timothy, can you please have a look at that bug and confirm whether this is what you are experiencing? Or are tehre other cases when the menu does not appear?

I have not checked Oneiric to find out if I can replicate the bug - I didn't report it and I am using Natty with Unity 3D. I simply assigned the report to the correct package as it was originally filed directly against Ubuntu.
