Bug Description

gthumb hangs when I try to import photos from a Nikon CoolPix880 connected via
USB. The gphoto2 package with debian/testing had no problems with the camera for
what its worth.

The application loads the drivers from /usr/lib/gphoto2/2.1.4 and then hangs.

If i run gthumb and try to import without a camera it succed in loading all
drivers and correctly notice no camera is connected.

If i unplug the camera from the usb port while gphoto is hung it says:

An error occurred in the io-library ('Bad parameters'): Could not find USB
device (vendor 0x4b0, product 0x103). Make sure this device is connected to the
computer.

And then the application starts responding again.

Try running gthumb under strace, from a terminal:

$ strace -o /tmp/gthumb.strace gthumb

reproduce the hang, press Control+C in the terminal to stop gthumb, and then
send us /tmp/gthumb.strace
