Bug Description

Since some ISPs block outbound port 25, some mail servers listen on other ports. Evolution currently uses a combobox but only allows for ports 25, 465 and 587 and users must dig down into gconf settings to change this. The same is true for incoming mail (though this may be less of a problem).

as a workaround you can probably use server:port ; this fix was discussed at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=418954

server:port does not work as the colon is converted to (iirc) html encoding. You have to edit the xml entry in gconf-editor afaict.

I meant to confirm this on the latest upload -- it is indeed fixed.
