Bug Description
Not sure whether this is casper or rather dpkg/apt. Either way, here is what happens.
I installed lupin-casper and it failed to install casper on which it depends. The failure manifests as follows:
---------------
[2] oliver@askr:~$ apt-get upgrade
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
lupin-casper: Depends: casper (>= 0.98) but it is not installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.
---------------
Now when I try to force a resolution of the problem, I get this:
---------------
[2] oliver@askr:~$ apt-get -f install
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Correcting dependencies... Done
The following extra packages will be installed:
casper
The following NEW packages will be installed:
casper

Let me know what other information may be needed, I'll try to collect it.

This bug is a duplicate of bug 453476. This was fixed in the maverick version of casper as follows:
* Conflict with live-initramfs, as they overlap and people can pick one or
the other (LP: #453476).
