Bug Description

I'm currently trying to update the openid plugins for wordpress openid integration (http://launchpad.net/wordpress-launchpad-integration and http://launchpad.net/wordpress-teams-integration) and am running into an interesting bug.

If I use login.ubuntu.com, login.staging.ubuntu.com or login.staging.launchpad.net, I get the correct information passed back as per the rpconfig (username, full name, email address and appropriate lp teams if I'm in any that are required). If I change this to login.launchpad.net, I only receive back the teams - ie, no personal information at all.

FWIW, I'm using Wordpress 3.2.1, openid plugin 3.3.3, openid-launchpad 1.0 (bzr revno 23), and openid-teams 1.0 (bzr revno 29).

Do you require any further information to diagnose whats going on here?

It seems that the wp plugin isn't requesting the sreg data, but only for login.lp. Perhaps wp is looking for sreg to be advertised in order to request it and login.lp isn't advertising it properly, for some reason?

Confirmed: login.lp (at least) isn't advertising its sreg capability in the xrds. Commenting out lines 215 and 217 of consumer.php in the openid plugin [1] resolves the issue.

We should investigate why this isn't an issue on login.u.c as I thought they shared the same code.

Brad will maintain the commented-out conditional until we've got a fix out to production.
