Bug Description

Hi,

I tried to perform the Live Session test case on Xubuntu 11.10 Alpha 3. I couldn't because it show me the login prompt instead to doing it automatically as usually happen during live session. I tried two times and I got the same.

I'm using an image that was tested with md5.

Let me know if I can help you.

11.10, sorry.

I red the other bug... I don't think it's the same. In my case, it ask me to select the user to login. Of course, I can select the default user "ubuntu" o choose "other" (but there's no other account). Selecting ubuntu, it prompt me for the password.

Until lightdm gets straightened out, it is impossible for Xubuntu to have any session auto-login. To work around this issue, enter the user name as "ubuntu", hit enter, tab to session, choose the second Xubuntu session listed, tab to login.

I duped this to bug 806408 because until that bug is fixed, Xubuntu can not log in automatically. It really is the same issue, even though the symptoms may change slightly.
