Bug Description

After installing the Oneiric Alpha3 candidate on my test netbook (Samsung N310), upon rebooting and logging in to Unity Compiz crashes. Attempting to submit the crash report claims that 'this is not a valid Ubuntu package' which is why this report is a little bare.

Logging into Unity2D is fine.

The issue is in unity itself as compiz works fine without Unity plugin enabled and everything was fine after the last update to compiz. its either nux or unity.

affects: compiz (Ubuntu) → unity (Ubuntu)
Changed in unity (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → High
status: New → Confirmed
Changed in unity:

Same here - the problem seems to be in Nux. I've already filed a bug report today morning but noticed only 5 mins ago that I accidentally flagged it private: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nux/+bug/819667
