Nexuiz crashes after a few seconds of gameplay. It works fine in menu screens and even in fly-by mode before game is started with space bar press.

This only applies when running the game in 32-bit mode. In 16-bit it runs just fine =. See bug #61607 for r300 card DRI performance in Ubuntu mesa packages
