This bug affects me, too.
I do some stuff with Nautilus Actions and with this bug present, I wouldn't/can't upgrade to 11.10.

I have downloaded the source package from Debian (http://packages.debian.org/source/sid/nautilus-actions) and built them for my system (Linux luxtop 3.0.0-12-generic #20-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 7 14:50:42 UTC 2011 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux), and it works fine. I have noticed that the import/export feature is buggy, and I'm still having problems with all the icons showing up in the context menus, but it does create actions properly and they work in Nautilus.

I can help import these new source files if someone could help guide me? I'm new to submitting code on Launchpad...

hi together,

I can confirm the same thing in Ubuntu 11.10 with nautilus-actions version 3.1.2. It still crahses.

Now I tried to open it in Terminal, but the whole thing, the Terminal says is:

Trace/Breakpoint caused. But no more information is shown. How can I figure out more information??

Greetings

Hi,
I am the maintainer of Nautilus-Actions.
This bug as also been reported upstream (see https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=664163), and appears (to me) as a packaging problem (mix of Gtk+2 and Gtk+3 libraries).
Nonetheless, I suggest to mark this bug as obsolete : The involved package was already obsolete when at opening time, and two more bugfixes versions has been since released.
Regards
Pierre

I needed this package in Oneiric and I prefered to fix the current package than install a newer version. The following patch to the Ubuntu sources has produced a working package for me. It might help others but I give no warranties.

I find it very strange that a bug report with a working patch, regardless of how old, is marked as incomplete. This report is far from incompletely. It's thorough, has quite a bit of background, and has a provided patch to resolve the issue, which was ultimately ignored.
