not sure if its evolution, but every day, w/o reason, the hard drive light stop blinking, it just literally stay red. the mouse slow down then freeze, after a while my monitor goes off, the hdd light goes off and i need to restart because nothing is hapening.

I searched but i could not find any log that could explain this. This is my /var/log/syslog when the problem occured.

Aug 4 17:18:46 darkhour CRON[5966]: (root) CMD ( cd / && run-parts --report /etc/cron.hourly)
Aug 4 17:51:59 darkhour kernel: imklog 4.6.4, log source = /proc/kmsg started.

See nothing between the two. I dont know if this is related at least this time, before the problem occured, the gnome-panel started to look weird, there was rainbowish lines on "Applications" and the logo. I use Natty, i have the same problem in x86 and amd64. i switched the scheduler to deadline instead of cfg to see what happens, with any luck... i will keep you posted if it fix the problem.

That all sounds like overheating for some reason, and generally unrelated to evolution.

Tomas, let's try to debug this properly: please attach .xsession-errors from a session reproducing the issue. Additionally, since we're looking at a possible crash, please enable Apport as described here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Apport#How_to_enable_apport -- to see if it will catch the crash and offer debugging information. Since following these steps will automatically open a new bug report, I'm closing this one as Invalid.

David, please use 'ubuntu-bug linux' to file a new bug for your system, preferably after reproducing the issue. This will open a new bug report against the kernel (which should include lots of information, which won't be a loss if the bug needs to be reassigned). Thanks!

Sometime EVOLUTION close by it self. Its 100% evolution, cause its happen only IF EVOLUTION running.
