Bug Description
System hangs up, both, when booted from DVD or when installed on HD. Mostly desktop freezes. Every so often it goes as far as the following error message:
init: plymouth-
checking for running unattended-
My PC is a 2 day old HP G5370 with a 1TB HD that has nothing but Mint 11 installed. I understand I am not the only one with upstart problems of this nature.

plymouth has nothing to do with desktops freezing. Marking invalid for the plymouth package.
