[Dell N4050] System can't boot to desktop very often

Bug Description

EN4-E3-I2 is ok with Dell 10.10 BTO image+X01 manifest(from QA), but it can't boot to desktop very often with 11.04 image.
I tried to install ssh server while booted to desktop successfully. But I can't ssh it while the problem happened and screen is blank.

From dmesg, it shows the hangcheck error, similar to bug 761065.

Tim, this bug could have already been fixed in 2.6.38-11 in -proposed, could you try again with this kernel?

You can try disabling either KMS driver by giving the 'radeon.modeset=0' or 'i915.modeset=0' option to the kernel, and see if it helps.

Yes, that helps, the problem disappear.
And I found there is a dup bug 727620 and Seth Forshee (sforshee) just found the commit, 3448a19 vgaarb: use bridges to control VGA routing where possible., to fix this issue.
I'll try it next Monday.

As this machine is already being tested for 11.10 certification, not sure if we still need to care about this issue for 11.04 (natty), since this issue has been fixed since 11.10.
