clicking on ruler half-freezes computer

Bug Description

When I click on the ruler in GIMP, the computer partially freezes. I can switch windows, but menu items, buttons, and text boxes are frozen. I can switch terminals ok, and the problems disappear after a while. However, this is still a pain when image editing.

I'm sorry that nobody cared about your bug yet. This Ubuntu version is EOL. Could you please tell us if your problem persists? Thank you very much!
