package apt-cacher 1.6.12ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2

Upgraded from 10.10 to 11.04, found apt-cacher very slow (ie if I altered my sources.list to bypass apt-cacher apt-get update FAST!!). So decided to apt-get purge apt-cacher, then re-install. Thats when I got this error.
