installation progress label is not good

Bug Description

The progress label in the installation dialog is like "----------------8.1% 321.0 kBps 35:55 ETA" That's all bad.

It appears that the "---" section is some kind of progress bar which is duplicate UI so that should be removed.

There is no indication of what is actually happening. Above the progress bar should be a label explaining the current action such as "Downloading a fresh disk image"

Below the progress bar should be the second human readable progress label, "Time Remaining: About 36 minutes"

Managed to fix it with sed, but it updates too slowly even if I specify --unbuffered. So, I guess I'll leave this until 1.0.
